Streamlining Image Branding: A Quick Guide to Adding Logos to Multiple Images

Greetings, fellow photographers! Today, we're bringing you an impromptu tutorial sparked by a question from my sister about adding logos to her images.

Adding a logo to a single image in Photoshop is straightforward, but what if you have a batch of images needing the same treatment? Fear not, as we're about to dive into a quick and efficient method to add logos to multiple images simultaneously.

Converting Images to JPEGs:
First things first, we want to work on copies of our original images to preserve the integrity of our originals. For images edited in Adobe Camera Raw, the quickest route to JPEG conversion is straight from the software itself.

Select all your raw images in Adobe Camera Raw.
Open them and navigate to 'Convert and Save.'
Choose your desired folder and change the extension to JPEG.
Save them, and let Adobe Camera Raw work its magic.
With this step, we've got our images ready for logo integration, whether for social media or other platforms.

Preparing Photoshop Images:
Now, what about images edited in Photoshop? We'll need to create an action for this.

Open your Photoshop images.
Create an action under 'Window' and 'Actions'.
Record the action to save copies of PSD files as JPEGs.
Stop recording once done.
With this action in place, batch processing becomes a breeze, saving you valuable time.

Adding the Logo:
Now comes the exciting part - adding your logo to the images.

Create a new action in Photoshop for resizing.
Resize the images to your desired dimensions.
Save and close the images.
Stop recording the action.
Now, test the action on one image before applying it to the entire batch.

Batch Processing:
Once you're confident with the action's performance, it's time to batch process the remaining images.

Select all your JPEG images.
Use the batch function in Photoshop and select the appropriate action.
Let Photoshop do its job, adding logos to all your images seamlessly.
And voila! You've successfully branded your images with your logo, ready to make a statement wherever they go.

Conclusion:
With this streamlined process, adding logos to multiple images becomes a simple task, allowing you to maintain consistency and professionalism across your photography portfolio. Stay tuned for more tutorials and tips, and until then, happy shooting!
